Spira invests in the latest technology to thoroughly inspect all rotor and stator profiles.

Genesis stator measurement Tool For Stators
Spira proudly uses and offers the Genesis Stator Measuring Tool to verify stator minors before pairing with a rotor. The Genesis Stator Measuring Tool utilizes expanding shoes which contact the stator lobes at multiple locations. It continues to be the most adopted stator measurement tool in motor shops because of its simplicity and ease-of-use design.

Laser Measuring Machine (LMM) For stators
Spira utilizes a Laser Measuring Machine, or LMM to measure stators to ensure precise quality production. In addition to the minor diameter, this unique tool measures the major diameter and the entire contour of the stator without physically contacting the elastomer. Customers can be provided with a full profile scan with every stator.

Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) For Rotors
At Spira, we employ the latest technology in absolute encoder measuring arms to measure all of our manufactured rotors and cores. The Coordinate Measuring Machine, or CMM, measures all rotor profiles and pitches to an accuracy of 0.0005 inches (.013mm).
